Formatting chart objects in Excel 97

Posted by Brad on March 11, 2001 4:08 PM
Hi,

When drawing BAR charts I often want to have the data values show up. However, if I want to change their position, I have to do so individually. Is there any way to group them so that they can be moved around together, like we do in Word and Powerpoint.

thx.

Hi Brad

Other than copying or dragging the chart into Word or Powerpoint the best I think you will do is:

Single click Any data label and then right click and select "Format data labels" then "Alignment" and use the "Change label position"

Hi,

I guess this will work in Excel 2000. I'm still stuck with Excel 97.

Thanks anyway.
