Missing Dll

I am trying to do graphs on excel (office 97) and I get the following message

This programme has performed an Illegal Operation and will be shut down

EXCEL caused an invalid page fault in module MSO97.DLL at 0167:3070b623.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling office but the message still appears - can you help?
