Labels for data points in xy chart

Posted by Vikki on July 18, 2001 1:51 PM

I'm looking for a more efficient way to label the points on an XY (scatter) chart. I want to label the points with text or a number (not the value of one of the data points) without having to add text boxes and move them as the data points move over time....

Any suggestions?

Thanks!

Did you know that after you show values you can
select each value label in turn, type an equal
sign (=), click on the cell containing the
corresponding label that you want, and press
[ Enter ].

Also...

Take a look at Rob Bovey's utility, XYChartLabeler,
at http://www.bmsltd.co.uk/MVP/MVPPage.asp I'm looking for a more efficient way to label the points on an XY (scatter) chart. Doesn't your Scatter Chart Options...

support "Show label" in addition to "Show value"?
I had to double check to be sure, but mine does? I'm looking for a more efficient way to label the points on an XY (scatter) chart.
