chart axis scale question
Posted by wywleung on September 12, 2001 2:01 AM
Hi,
I have a problem about changing axis scale of chart with
logarithmic scale. Actually, after applying logarithmic scale,
the Y-axis interval includes 1, 10 &100. However, the largest Y-
value is only 11 and thus there is plenty of empty area above
the highest point. I have tried to change "maximum" text box
in "format axis" window to 20 and uncheck "auto" check
box, "maximum" changes back to 100 automatically.
How can i change the maximum Y-axis value for logarithmic scale
chart to number that is not exponential of 10?
thx!!!!

Have you tried log transforming your data and graphing it on a linear scale? (NT)

Do you mean that what i can do is to abandon to use the logarithmic scale of format axis scale and instead I can only log all the y value?
Thank you for your help and attention!

Yes, as is done with pH scale
