Bar graph for capacity build-up in Excel
Posted by Andre Van Hoeck on September 26, 2001 2:01 PM
Hi,
I would like to build a bar graph showing the following:
x-axis y-axis
Capacity Price
0 to 100 35
101 to 200 55
201 to 500 75
etc...
How can I do this?
Thanks

If you intend the "x axis values" to be labels, then try this

I may have missed what you are asking for, see if this is what you want
say your x axis values are in A2:A10 and your y axis values are in B2:B10. If my interpretation is correct and your "x axis values" are really "x axis labels", then try this:
select B2:B10, start the graph wizard, select "column" for the graph type, click "next", at the bottom of the "series" tab is an input box for "Category (x axis) labels". Click in that box and then select A2:A10, click "finish"
Is that what you are looking for?
BTW you can also select the entire column and then change the x axis range when you add more entries.
