Logarithmic Axis

I am working on a chart, which needs to have logarithmic axis (both X & Y). I've got that set up, but the problem is that Excel defaults to showing only 1, 100, 1000, etc. I need to show gridlines for 1 thru 10, 20, 30, 40, etc. to 100, then each 100 point, etc. How do I get Excel to do this for me?

Select the chart, then go to Chart|Chart Options. Click on the gridlines tab, you should be able to select minor gridlines for the x and y axes.

OK -- that worked for showing the gridlines. One more question, though -- how do I get the chart to only show thru, say 300? Right now it cuts off at the next major logorithmic value (1000), but the chart I'm going off of cuts at 300.

As far as I can tell, you can't change the axis in this way. I think you may have to live with it.

Of course, I could easily be wrong.
