Breaking up cell contents

How would I take a column of cells that have a large number of characters in them and break them up into multiple cells having no more than 250 characters in each?

You could get fancy with text functions, but the easiest way would be to do data...text-to-columns...choose fixed width.
Then watch the ruler across and click the data where you need a column break.
