It really depends on how you are importing the data. If you follow my link you will see another link to "Handy Hints" there are a few ways there to avoid duplicate data.

Alternatively you could use Advanced Filter set for unique records only. This can be found under Data>Filter>Advanced Filter. If you get stuck let me know.

Tks for quick reply. Iīve tried the formula from Your "Tips and hints" The problem with this is that i get the alert for every value thatīs a duplicate and there will be alot of them. I just want them to be ignored and have the "new" ones added to the sheet. I looked at the filter command but it seems to me that i have to use this in one and one cell, got error when i marked the column and tried to use this command.
Maybe i have to use a dbase program to make this work??

Jevee, With the Advanced filter try this.

assuming your data is in Column A. Select the data in the column(including your heading).

Activate the Advanced Filter.
Select "Copy to another location"
Your list range should be your selection.
Leave "Criteria Range" blank.
Put any single cell address in the "Copy to" box (must be on the same sheet).
Select "Unique Values Only"
Click OK.

Now you can copy this unique range of data to wherever you want.
