Data Validation and Freezing Panes question

i have a problem with Data Validation when i Freeze Panes.

if i use ListBoxes via Data Validation and Freeze Panes, the listbox will not dropdown. however, if i UnFreeze Panes, the listbox will dropdown.

how can i resolve this issue? thanks in advance.

This is a problem with Excel97...problem resolved
in latter versions...........
