conditional cell entry

I would like a column of cells that individually would only accept input of the letters A,B or C.

Is there a simple solution.

Hilite the column, click on Data > Validation, Settings tab, select "List" in the Allow field, then enter A,B,C in the Source field. While there, make any customized choices as provided in the Input Message and Error Alert tabs, then click OK.
