Autofilter: Limits

I am trying to use autofilter to search a list of 2,300 records. Only a partial dropdown list. Does anyone know the limit of autofilter? Does anyone know a way to increase the limit or a way around?

You can Autofilter all the physical rows of a
worksheet, but you can only view the 1st 1,000
unique values in the dropdown.

There's no way.

Use Advanced Autofilter with a criteria.
