Can I Use a filter on a protected Worksheet

Posted by Nola Scott on October 03, 2001 7:43 AM
Is it possible to create a usable filter for a protected worksheet and link the effected range to another protected worksheet?

When I tried the filter became disabled. I would very much appreciate your help.

Nola, you could only filter a protected worksheet via VBA (unprotecting the worksheet, applying the filter, and then protecting the worksheet). Can you clarify what you mean by "link the effected range to another protected worksheet".
