BST/GMT identification
Posted by Robin McCreadie on August 25, 1999 5:32 AM
Is there a way to identify from within Excel, whether
or not the 'Daylight saving time' offset of one hour
is in force or not.
I'm importing 'CSV' files which are ALWAYS in GMT so
I only require to apply the offset when DST is in use.
All suggestions welcome. Thanks.

Robin,
I don't know if there is a way (no doubt someone does) but you
could try as a work around, monitoring the current
date <=Now()> and when it is within the start/end
period of DST make the adjustment ie +/- DST.
You could set this up via VBA before load/open
your CSV file.
Ivan
