Calander Date Calculations

If 01/01/00 is in A1 and 01/02/01 is in A2, I want A3 to show me a value of 366 (the total number of days that have gone by). Any ideas on a formula to calculate this?

In A3 enter: =A2-A1

(where A2>A1 assumed) & number or general format A3.

=A2-A1 and format as general. the result is 367 (leap year).
