DELETING EMPTY CELLS

How do i delete (and shift cells left) a large selection of cells making all blank ones dissapear or alternativley.
how do i arange all a datasheet so

a

all of the last pieces of data are place into a single row

a b c d
a b c d e
a
a b
so it looks like above

If I've understood your question correctly try Edit->GoTo->Special->Blanks which should select all the empty cells.
Then right click Delete->Shift cells left.
