remove carriage returns
Posted by danielle on May 02, 2001 2:45 AM
Hello!
Does anyone know of a quick way to remove all carriage returns from a cell? I have imported some data from Access to Excel and one of the columns contains Notes. In every cell in this column there are carriage returns displayed by little boxes and I need to get rid of them!!
Thanks,
Danielle

Hi Danielle
There is a bit of a trick to this. Go to Edit>Replace and in the "Find what" box hold down the Alt key and push 015 Leave the "Replace with" box blank and click "Replace All"
