Convert whole numbers to decimals

Posted by Jessica on June 15, 2001 2:16 PM
I can't figure out how to convert a whole number to a decimal in Excel 2000 (I have a column of whole numbers that needs to be in decimals.)

ie. Convert 110550 to 1105.50

I'm sure this is easy but I've been searching and can't find an answer.

Thanks!

Enter 100 into an unused cell, Copy it, select the
cells containing your values, perform
an Edit | Paste Special... clicking the "Values" and
"Divide" radio buttons, and press [ OK ].

Another way would be to Multiply the number by .01
