"Undo" greyed out

Posted by Adrian King-Cox on July 04, 2001 8:20 AM
Hi,

Of the hundreds of Excel 97 users my company has, we have a few have a problem with the Undo button (or command) being unavailable. Technet has a reference to problems with using Auditing Tools (Q157298) but the problem is present even when previously modified file is opened, i.e. before and changes are made to it. Does this mean that if you ever run one of the errant tools that the file in question will NEVER have the Undo function available???

If anyone could help I'd be really grateful.

Regards

Adrian

I'm not sure if this answers your question, but the undo list is reset (and therefore greyed-out) when ever the file is saved, and I think after a macro is run (one nice thing about Loutus was you could undo a macro). The macro button will be greyed out until you perform an action that can be reversed.
