Copy sheet all but values
Posted by Ken on November 06, 2001 12:40 PM
I need a way to copy the formatting and formulas. I don't want to copy the values input into cells. Is there a way to do this. When you do paste special and select formulas, it still copies the values input into the spreadsheet.I want to recreate the workbook with all pages and formulas intact, but I need to get rid of all the data.

Why don't you...

1. Make a copy of the workbook and open it...
2. Right mouse click on any tab and choose "Select
All Sheets" from the popup menu.
3. Choose the Edit | Go To... | Special... Constants
menu command and press [ OK ].
4. Press [ Delete ]

Mark, didn't work for me if I selected all sheets. However..

However, it did work for me if I did this sheet by sheet. Very cool solution, never even thought of the special cells!

Barrie

Thanks Mark, Genius solution and simple!
