Lotus Conversion Is HUGE

When I use the Excel conversion wizard to convert a WK4
workbook (only 6 worksheets that are very simple )the
result is a monster excel file --on the order of 100M.
How can I reduce the file size to a reasonable size ?

Using the Edit Go To... Special... Last Cell command
check to see if the identified last cell for each
worksheet is truly the last cell with contents.
