Moving cell values

Posted by Gaby on December 09, 2001 7:51 AM
If I have values distributed across columns in the same row, is there any way to move them so that they are distributed down rows in the same column.

For example:
In A1, B1, C1, D1 are values 1, 2, 3, 4

Move these values to A1, A2, A3, A4 respectively.

Thanks :-) Gaby

Select A1:D1 and Copy it. Activate A1 (or some other cell of interest), activate Edit|Paste Special, and choose Transpose.

I'm sure Aladin new you would get an error
copying and transposin to the same cell so....
Just select B1 to D1 as A1 is the same...then
Activate B1 and paste specia; transpose.
