error when using advanced filter, unique values

Posted by bruce taylor on June 01, 2001 12:22 AM
Using Data,Advanced filter,Unique Values only works properly except when the first value in the range being evaluated is repeated somewhere else in the range. That "unique" entry is displayed twice in the output. Is the a bug that I can work around ?
thanks

It sounds like it is using the first cell in the range as a column header, and therefore not treating it as a value. You will need to insert a cell above the range and put in a column header. Then select the range as normal but include the inseretd column header then try.
