I am getting an error message, "Too many different cell formats". Can anyone tell me what the problem is? I try to format anywhere in the cell and it gives this error message

there were a few previous posts in the archive something similar to this...... from memory, there are just too many different formats in your spreadsheet.... is it full of boldings, italics, colours, different decimals, number formats, date formats, left-alignments, borders etc etc etc?
try stripping a few large ranges of un-neccesary formats.....
