error msg

<<filename>> cannot be accessed. The file may be read-only or you may be be trying to access a read-only location or, server the document is stored on may be not responding.

Is the file on your computer, can you find it using windows explorer?

Hi,
Start windows explorer (right click My Computer, select "explorer"). When you find the file, double click it to see if it will open that way. If not, try right-clicking the file, selecting "properties" and see if the "read only" check box is selected.
Sometimes, a user will work on a file on the hard drive and transfer it to a zip or floppy by using the "save as" command. This works, but now under the "File" drop down menu, the file listed is a reference to the zip or floppy, rather than the hard drive copy- thus if the zip or floppy is not in the drive, you will get that error message too.
Good luck!
