Circular Reference
Posted by Christine on August 07, 2001 5:05 AM
Ok, is there a formula that can be used to calculate a figure inside a cell, referring to that cell? I need to enter an amount in the cell, say 7.5 and have it automatically be multiplied by 10.725 and put that calculation in THAT cell.
Thanks!

Christine,
You can't enter a number into a cell that contains a formula (one with or without a circular reference). Hope I'm not misreading you.

I dont think so, any formula in a cell would be overwritten by you entering the 7.5
