error message in excel.
Posted by Charles D. Mock on August 18, 2001 8:13 AM
We are having problems with certain functions on the toolbar. When attempting to format a cell, we get the following error message: "Excel has caused an error in EXCEL.EXE. Excel will now close. If you continue to experience problems, try restarting your computer."
We follow the error message instructions but continue to experience the problem. Can you advise us? Thanks so much for your help!!!

Hi Charles,
Please try installing the latest service pack meant for Office 2000. (I assume that you are using Office 2000 and not Office 97). Since, this is an application error based on the system files related to the software, this should resolve your problem. Check out the following link to find details on the latest service pack.

Thats it for now. C Ya. Have a grt day.
Cheers,
Prashanth.
