"save as" closes down the Excel program

Posted by Dave In Houston on September 14, 2001 12:10 PM
I am using Excel to hook into a prog called DOCSOPEN, which resides on a network server. I have a WIN2000 workstation and when I try to save a file natively, it saves the file, but shuts Excel down too. As I do create rather large spreadsheets sometimes, I like to save while working, but the fact that Excel closes every time is frustrating. If I do a "save as" to the network, it functions as it should. Only the native save as closes Excel. Any help is deeply appreciated.

Simply hit F12, enter, enter (and continue...) That is the fastest way to save as (it works the same a saving).
