Changing the Backcolor

Is there away that I can change the backcolor of a cell that has a certian value in it so that when the value is typed in the backcolor of the cell changes.

Paul,
What you need is called Conditional Formatting, and it is found under the Format menu. Once in conditional formatting, set the criteria for whatever value you want to trigger the color change, i.e. >, <, =, then go to Patterns on that submenu and select whichever color you'd like the cell background to change to.
