Cell colors and Comments transparent to gridlines & values

Posted by M Bush on July 26, 2001 10:15 AM
How do you color cells so that gridlines show on the display monitor and in the print-out? Also, is it possible to have comments displayed transparent (e.g. object sent to background, etc.) so that they do not block-out values or gridlines?

They do if you check the "Gridlines" check box
found on the Page Setup dialog's Sheet tab.

You could choose the "None" or the "Comment
indicator only" radio button on the View tab
of the dialog produced by the Tools | Options
menu command.

To get the gridlines to show on colored cells, you have to add borders to the colored cells (Format>Cells>Borders) Gray-25% usually matches the normal gridlines.
