Is there a way to format a data marker so that its color corresponds to the value of its cell?

You're looking for something beyond opening the Format menu, picking Conditional Formatting and choosing between "Cell Value Is" and "Formula Is", for a value such as $A$1=n?

Yes, once the chart is complete, is there a way to link the color of the data marker to the value of the cell it represents?
