Getting excel to recognise html text as numbers

I am trying to paste in the numbers from the following website
(http://www.photius.com/wfb1999/rankings/gdp_per_capita_1.html)
into excel so that I can manipulate them. However none of the functions will recognise the data as numbers, even when I delete the dollar sign and format the cell as a number. Any suggestions?

They come in as numbers for me (formatted as currency), but try this:
=INT(Cell)
Where Cell is one of your cells with a number in it.
