Autoformat/correct in formulas

One of my users is trying to use an in-house written function called dv01. However, when we try to use the function e.g =dv01(cell references) excel insists on changing it to =DV1($B$2,BB11,AZ11,BA11,BE11)so the function is invalid.
Autocorrect has been turned off, but it still changes the entry to DV1. Does anyone know how I can prevent this from happening?

What are the cell references that you're attempting to use? [nt]

The first formula should be =dv01($B$2,BB11,AZ11,BA11,BE11) but excel changes the dv01 to DV1 when you hit return to calculate the value.

Excel isn't recognizing DV01 as a function. Instead,
it is interpeting DV01 as a cell reference to DV1.
