histogram

Is there a way to do a histogram in Excel? A histogram is a graph showing frequencies. So for example, if I'm doing a poll and respondents are circling 1,2,3, 4 or 5, and each answer is contained on a spreadsheet, a histogram would count the number of 1s, 2s, etc. and make a bar graph.

There may be a chart option, but could you get away just counting the number of 1, 2, etc using =COUNTIF(yourrange,1) =COUNTIF(yourrange,2), etc. and graphing that? The formulas would make it dynamic.

If you haven't already done so use the Tools | Add-ins...
menu command to access the Analysis ToolPak which
supports Histograms.
