Relative - Absolute toggle

I seem to rememember using a combination of keys to toggle between relative and absolute addressing in a typed cell reference. I can't remember how it is done. Can anyone refresh my memory?

yup, but F2 first, to enter edit mode, then click on the first bit of the formula you want changed (in case there's a number of them within the formula) then F4 through the cycle :

1st F4 $a$1
2nd F4 a$1
3rd F4 $a1
4th F4 a1
