Sum Formula

Sorry guys, I couldn't get it to work. The sum always came up to "0" no matter what hours were entered. I thought I could use some kind of sumif formula. I want to sum only the cells in column (N10:N29) that are in the same rows of the cells in column (G10:G29) that have "X" in them. I'm afraid I'm making this much more confusing than it actually is. :( I would be grateful for any help anyone could give.

Karen, type this in cell N30 (or elsewhere):
=SUMIF(G10:G29,"X",N10:29)
