Spred sheet calculation

how do you condition a formula for a cell to compute only if another cell has a value in it? I tried this and it didn't work if (d4>0,=D4-E4-F4+N3) That caused ###### to appear every where a formula existed that used the value is was trying to condition in cell G4 Thanks for your help.

Try: =IF(D4>0,D4-E4-F4+N3,"")
