Dynamic Ranges using Offset Function

Posted by Ryan Taylor on August 06, 2001 1:27 PM

I'm having trouble using Dynamic Ranges to automatically graph data that I input every quarter. I tried using the Offset function, (In toolbar: Insert, Name, Define). It worked with the original data, but when I tried to input the latest quarter's worth of data, it did not graph properly. The formula was not graphing the new data. Does anyone have any advice or tips that might be able to help me out. I'm trying to automate these graphs because there 80 graphs that need to updated every 3 months. Thanks.

Care to post your OFFSET-formula?

You might be able to use "CurrentRegion"

Range("??").CurrentRegion

Re: Dynamic Ranges Zip file

Hi Ryan

If you sent me your email address - I can send you a zip file that I found on the internet that is an excel add-in that helps set a Dynamic Ranges. I found it a big help. Though I have not used it with charts.

Cheers

Re: Dynamic Ranges Zip file

I am interested in this subject area...I am trying to create a dynamic print range, but have had no luck automating it in VBA.
In my case, the top left cell is fixed, and I have a formula that tells me how many columns I must include in my range. I have used the Define Names feature (coupling indirect and address functions), but these don't carry over to VBA well.

So any light shed here - please consider sharing it with me?
