We are trying to find an Excel formula for calculating the Coumpound Annual Growth rate. We know the following three factors:
1. present value
2. future value
3. number of years between

Given these three factors, we need to find the compound annual growth rate. Can anyone help?

Did you look at the Help topic for the RATE
worksheet function?

Well, I suspect that my earlier posting...

...was of no help; however, if you are familiar with
HP calculators (or know someone who is) then
perhaps you can tranlate this into a mathematical
formula that's comprehensible to someone who
knows Excel.
