#REF!
Posted by Amy Wheeler on September 19, 2001 11:47 AM
I paste linked from a master spreadsheet to a source; however if I delete a row from the master spreadsheet, the source spreadsheet provides a #REF! since the reference is missing. Is there a way to delete a row from the source and have the same row deleted from the destination.
(i.e. I want to eliminate Jane Doe from my source since she is now terminated. How can I remove her information from the destination (without a #REF! error?)
Thanks! I appreciate all of your help in Excel!!!

This is a hack answer, but maybe it will help until something better comes along

You could set autofilter on your linked spreadsheet and set it to custom filter, and set it to "does not equal" and "#ref!"
you would have to rerun the filter each time you deleted a source row in the master spreadsheet though.
