calculating derivatives

How can I design a spreadsheet that will calculate the derivative of the function over the domain of f(x)=x^3? Any help is great appreciated.

so if x=3 than f(x)=1? is that what you want?
why dont you just change the value of a cell to
= a1/3... where a is there input for 'x'.
you can then format the cells around the = a1/3 so that it appears as
f(x)=x/3
do you just want one of these formula's on the page?
