When I close Excel 2000 through File and then exit I get the error message GWXL97.xla. Do you know what this error message means?

I get starting Excel 97 when I'want to open a file. Opening it with CTRL-O gives no problems. Clicking with the explorer also works OK. Maybe we can help eachother. Do you also use Groupwise (from Novell) ????

I have a similar problem. Whenever I try to save an excel 2000 workbook or file i get " cannot find GWXL97.xla " I had Groupwise installed, but or network no longer uses it and so it was uninstalled. I have searched through the registry and found no answers. I searched through every newsgroup and MS support pages and got nowhere. I have uninstalled and re-installed Office 2k and this also didn't resolve the problem.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Just delete (or rename) the gwxl97.xla file. You'll need to have Excel closed in order to do this. This is how I solved a similar problem.
