double click in cell to go to link

Posted by Tomas Matta on February 14, 2002 4:41 AM
I have seen that you can go to a link in a cell by directly double clicking on it. For example, if cell A1 was reading from another file, if you double click on A1 the file you were reading from opens. How do you set up excel to do this?

thanks in advance,

Tomas

Turn off the "Edit directly in cell" in Tools, Options, Edit dialog box.
