Linking
Posted by Dave Papenfuse on February 14, 2002 8:12 AM
When I link to another spreadsheet an absolute address is returned. I would like to be able to have a relative cell referenced so that when I past eht link to other cells it will correspond to additional cells in the linked spreadshee. Now I have to strip the "$" out of the linked cell reference before copying it to other cells.
Does any one have any ideas?
Thanks,
Dave

if you have loads of these links to do, maybe you could move the sheet from spreadsheet 2 into your working spreadsheet so it's not an external link when you do it, then, when finished, move it back
I tested it and it seems to work...
