bad link
Posted by Jim on September 14, 2001 5:19 AM
I can not locate a link in my spreadsheet that the Links
window shows exists. Is there a quick way to find it or
eliminate it?

It's possible that the link may be part of a named range.
From the Insert menu, select Names and Define. Click on each named range and check the Refers To box at the bottom of the dialog.
If you have a named range that refers to an unwanted external workbook, either delete it entirely, or delete and recreate within your current workbook if needed.
With any luck that should solve the problem.
