Don't know about a Lotus file with an extension of .123 - all my old Lotus files had extensions of .wk3 or wk4.

If so, open Excel, and then open the Lotus file. Immediate "save as" and in the "Save as" dialogue box, click on "Save as type:" drop down menu and select the version of Excel you are using. This will save the spreadsheet as an Excel workbook and change the extension from .wk3 or wk4 to .xls.
