Open a corrupt Word Doc. Is there an "Ask MrWord.com"?

Is there a similar forum to this for MS Word Problems? I have a critical Word document that says "the name or path is not valid" regardless of how I try to open it. The only thing I've been able to do with it is change the extension to .txt and open it in Notepad. Of course the data is not decipherable as text.

Thanks and sorry for the off topic I'm at my wits end.

They have free advise boards for all sorts of software (e.g. Word, PowerPoint, Graphics, etc)
