Comparing Worksheets
Posted by Clay on October 18, 2001 10:29 AM
I have two worksheets consisting of customer listings from 2 different companies which have similar columns (Account Number, Name, Address, City, State and Zip). The problem is that the Account Numbers are different for each company and the customer listing is larger for one company. What I need to do is compare the 2 worksheets, find the similar customers and then be able to show both Account Numbers side by side. Is this possible? Thanks for any help.

Well, I know I'm not answering your question but...
If you are going to be doing a lot of this type of stuff, I would suggest using a database program like Microsoft Access which is built to do things exactly like this. Excel just doesn't cut the mustard in my opinion for database managing.
