Getting Text in Pivot Table Data

Posted by David Lazarus on May 15, 2001 11:30 AM
I am trying to use a pivot table as a front end for an Access database of dates. The end user likes to enter text in some of the data points ("complete", etc.), but I can't find a way to get them to show up in the pivot table. Each field on the table is unique-the Access is really used to make data entry easier.

Thanks in advance.

Nonquantitative data can only be counted in a
PivotTable's DATA area. At a minimum your Access
table should be in 1st Normal Form.
