Badly Needed Help : How to get data from specific cells to appear on another sheet via a combo box selection

Posted by Daniel Cremin on November 09, 2001 11:52 AM
Hi im doing a spreadsheet for a marks and grades system for my class. I have a main sheet with all the marks, percents, grades, and "YELLIS Boundaries" on it and loads of other hidden column cells. I would like to be able to have a summary sheet where from a list of student names that can be picked from a drop-down box control (combo or a list box preferibly)i can get the percents and grade results for each of the tests that the student picked has taken to appear in some pre-designated cells on another sheet.I know its very possible as ihave seen it many times in the past and probably involves a lookup function or something like that i just need help to do it.

Thank very much in advance to anyone who can help me out i REALLY appreciate it

Daniel

Wouldn't a pivot table be the answer ?
