Pivot Tables: Raw data is being added on a daily basis

I am using a pivot table in XL2000 to analyse data from a call log that is changing in size daily. I have tried refreshing the pivot table but it doesn't seem to pick up the new entries. I have been recreating the pivot table each time to include the new information. Is there an easier way?

Make the pivot table range $A:$B (columns rather than a range) and it will pick up the new entries. The only hassle is there will always bea "Blank" entry. You learn to live with it after a while!

Niel your suggestion only partially worked.

Thanks for responding your suggested worked but only partially. I cannot group the dates by using your method. I tried using range names but that doesn't work at all.

Skip, dates work for me.

Clutching at straws, but is it possible that your "dates" have hours and minutes in them i.e. they are formatted to look like dates but aren't actually unique and you need to round them?
In which case try rounding by =round(date(A1),0)
